Our History

Step into history

The Alexandria Curling Club, is a three-sheet club with a fascinating past. Originally founded in 1896, the club disbanded in 1908 due to a series of warm winters. Fortunately, the club was founded for a second time in 1923 and has since celebrated countless memorable moments on the ice. In 2023, the Alexandria Curling Club will celebrate its 100th anniversary and we can’t wait to welcome visitors to our beloved club. Throughout the years, we’ve made numerous changes to the ice shed, club room, and building to better serve our members. Today, we’re known for our friendly atmosphere, great ice conditions, and active membership that includes curlers as young as six and as seasoned as 86. With an impressive selection of leagues to choose from, everyone can find their perfect fit at our club.

Our Facilities

Licensed lounge Rental

Our spacious lounge is equipped with central heating and air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable experience year-round. We offer ample space for live music performances or dancing, as well as a high-quality sound system that can be connected to an electronic device via Bluetooth. Wifi is also available for your convenience.

Our kitchen facilities can be rented along with the space, giving you the option to cater your own event or to bring in an external caterer. And best of all, you are free to customize the space to match your theme, as long as no permanent marks are made.

Ice Rentals

During the winter months (mid-October to mid-April), our three-sheet club is perfect for those looking to enjoy Canada’s favorite pastime on the ice. Up to 24 people can curl at any one time, making it perfect for recreational and competitive events alike. Bonspiels can also be arranged upon request.
