TURKEY BONSPIEL STARTING MONDAY!!
Our traditional Turkey Bonspiel is back this year. 24 teams are register and the competition begins this Monday and will go on every weeknights for the next 2 weeks starting at 6:30 PM. Don’t hesitate to come cheers for all the curlers.. There will be some great games for sure and many turkeys to win!
A 50-50 draw will be held each Friday nights so don’t forget to enter your name when you are at the Club. 3 tickets for $5 or the usual special 6 tickets for $10!
To celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Seasons and the end of the bonspiel, we will have a potluck dinner on Friday December 17. If you are interested to contribute, there will be a signup sheet on the board by the bar.
Speaking of the bar, exciting things are happening in the bar during the Turkey Bonspiel.
- Win a Beau’s t-shirt! Purchase any Beau’s product and enter your name into the draw. The draw will be held on the last Friday.
- Tips for charity: Normally tips go back to the Club. However this year tips collected during the Turkey will be donated to St-Vincent-de-Paul food bank.
A BIG THANK YOU to Peggy Lafave who is organizing the Turkey Bonspiel this year again. She’s been doing it for so many years now and still doing a fantastic job.
ICE MAINTENANCE DURING HOLIDAYS
As usual, our Ice man Jim will do some maintenance in the rink during the Holiday break. Ice will be melt on the 19th right after the end of the Learn to Curl program. Ice should be back for practice and games starting December 28th.
NEW DRAWS STARTING IN JANUARY
Our regular league draws will restart on Monday January 3rd. It is still possible to register for any leagues by reaching Ian Fraser or any of the draws convenors. You can also enter a team on the Tuesday night Ladder league. Ian is also hoping to launch the Saturday Triples Curling draw. See the following poll card to get all the details on each draws and convenors.

The Alexandria Curling Club has you covered for your curling needs. J.C. is making a mass equipment purchase through the pro shop. He is ordering from the following suppliers: Goldline, Balance Plus and Hardline. The sale price for individuals will be for the list MSRP price with no tax. Order form will be posted beside the bar and downstairs outside the office. Please put what you would like to purchase along with any relevant details and contact information.
Orders will be closed by the evening of the 10th with the intent that supplies will be in for the week of the Turkey.
