Hope all the mothers who are members of the Alexandria Curling Club each enjoyed a special and wonderful day yesterday! You certainly deserve it.
At the Trophy & Awards dinner on Friday night a draw was held for a winner for a free membership to the 2023 – 2024 curling season at the Alexandria Curling Club. Only the participants that purchased tickets to the dinner were entered in the draw. Congratulations to Donaldson MacLeod!
Some of the members present at the evening’s event were presented with Long-time membership pins by Membership Chair Frank Wetering.
Carol MacLeod – 25 year member, John MacLeod – 35 year member and Andrea Lauzon – 45 year member. Sadly Tom & Mary Laframboise both 25 year members had just left the club and missed out on getting their pins and photos. Congratulations to all these members and big thank you for your continuing long time loyalty to our club.
Two of our Board of Directors have decided to retire from duties on the Board of the Alexandria Curling Club and will finish out their term this summer. Thank you to Andy Harrison and Peter Horton for their continued dedication and commitment to our club. Their work has been much appreciated by all the members. Peter was the co-chair of the Bar and Andy served as V.P on the Board as well Ice Chair and looked after Rental agreements. We welcome the two new board members Kevin MacDonald and Julie Darrock who have volunteered to serve on the Board for the 2023-2024 season.
For those of you who weren’t able to attend the festivities on Friday evening, I am sharing a photo of the beautiful decorations that all of the attendees enjoyed. Thank you to Diane Couture, Nicole Bourbonnais, Barb Zacios, and Helene Seguin for their hard work to ensure we felt like royalty.
