Hello Alexandria Curling Club Friends and Members!
Friday, September 13 is the Alexandria Curling Club’s Open House & Registration Evening (7 – 9 PM) Jen Fraser & Patty Nowry will be serving “Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches with Provolone Cheese and you can add grilled onions, green peppers and /or mushrooms. Served with Caesar Salad – all for $12”. Come to our club, have some eats, a beverage or two and enjoy some great fun conversations with fellow members. Bring your friends, your neighbours and your mother-in-law too. Everyone is always welcome.
Scott Graham is happy to announce that he has drawn the names of winners of the tickets for the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Cassic Tournament. The winner of the Saturday tickets is Cassie Depratto Nutt and the winner of the Sunday tickets is Jim & Flora Poulton!! Congratulations !!! Scott will be bringing the tickets to the Open House / Registration Night and asks that the winners meet him there to get their prize. Some behind the scene news – Big Thank You to Jim Poulton, Ian Fraser, Kevin MacDonald & Paul Villeneuve for picking up and delivering our club’s curling stones to our club today. The stones were sent this summer to Canada Curling Stone in London On to get reconditioned and re-finished to be ready for our 2024-2025 season and as well many, more seasons. The stones, along with various other items, were delivered to the Ottawa Hunt Curling & Golf Club today for pick up. The stones are now safely stored in our club and will be ready for our use in a few short weeks. Thank you to the staff at Canada Curling Stone for their expertise and thanks as well to Oene Ykema for the use of his trailer. Looking forward to a great curling season ahead with these stones!
